In relation to an article recently published in an online magazine, Eidoo Sagl would like to clarify the following:
- Eidoo Sagl is a Swiss company qualified as a financial intermediary and is subject to the strict Swiss regulations on the matter;
- Eidoo has already been subject to annual audits by the relevant bodies, and has always passed the inspection, with no evidence of any criticality;
- Eidoo is also subject to the Swiss anti-money laundering regulations as specified on the FINMA website, the Swiss financial market supervisory authority;
- Eidoo Sagl has also developed a system of identification of its cryptographic wallet used for the safekeeping of cryptocurrencies;
- Eidoo Sagl has rented the property - for office use - in Via Motta No. 10 in Chiasso in 2017, without being aware that the property had previously been seized by the authorities years earlier, as part of an investigation into the use of funds of illegal origin for real estate investments. Eidoo has not been in any way involved in that investigation, which dates back to 2014. Moreover, Eidoo was only one of many companies that have their offices at this property, so any attempt to link the activities of Eidoo with those of the previous owner of the property and with the investigation that affected that property is absolutely misleading;
- in relation to the activities of the Camponovo family, mentioned in the article, Eidoo cannot express itself in this regard, as our Company has no link either with these activities or with the Camponovo family (Mr Camponovo was in the past a tax consultant for a company of our group, but such collaboration has not existed for some time);
- despite the fact that the Eidoo token was designed as a utility token, therefore as a "voucher" for the use of the services of the Eidoo App, and does not give right to a dividend, interest or other type of pecuniary performance, and therefore is not considered as a financial product, prior to starting the distribution through an ICO (Initial Coin Offering), Eidoo has informed the FINMA and the Swiss tax authorities of the details of the ICO, receiving from the tax authorities a precise ruling for its operation. Eidoo has remained in close contact with FINMA even after the ICO and has continued a correspondence contact to ensure the execution of its activities in full compliance with the regulations;
- Eidoo - in compliance with the ethical principles that characterise its business - has never hesitated to cooperate with the supervisory and security authorities in order to ensure the integrity of the cryptocurrency sector, playing even recently a key role in a delicate investigation into a third party computer fraud worth hundreds of thousands of euros;
- Natale Ferrara, a shareholder and founder of Poseidon, the holding company controlling Eidoo, was indeed in the past involved in a judicial procedure concerning the "Linkstreaming" website, concerning the streaming of videos, and therefore in no way related to the activity of Eidoo, nor more generally to the cryptocurrency world, and was also completely acquitted, as is clear from the ruling, which was made available to the journalist;
- it is worth noting that no civil or criminal proceedings - not even at the level of investigation - nor any checks for irregularities by the supervisory authorities, have ever been initiated nor are currently pending against Eidoo, its managers, directors and shareholders;
- by the same public admission of the journalist, who prior to the publication of the article received a written proposal for a meeting at the headquarters of Eidoo in order to provide all the insights and documentation necessary to clarify his doubts, refusing such a meeting, the investigation now published on an online website was previously proposed by him to the financial newspaper "Il Sole 24 Ore" which had - understandably - rejected it; the article describes - on the basis of completely fragmentary and partial information - a completely unreal scenario, from which our Society clearly distances itself;
- our company unconditionally recognizes the value of freedom of the press and the right to report, but given all the above, has appointed a pool of lawyers and qualified professionals to protect the image of the company, its employees, associates and shareholders, in every location, civil and criminal, also to protect investors who have placed their trust in the activities of Eidoo and its products and services.
