Note: The only way to restore your wallet is through the 12 words passphrase (seed) that was provided to you the first time you opened it.
Being a non-custodial wallet, Eidoo does not hold a copy of the seed of its customers, moreover there is no server where this information is stored. If you still have your wallet installed on one of your devices, you can retrieve your 12 words by using the export function (you can find it in Settings, Export seed).
If your wallet is not installed on a secondary device and you have no access to the 12 words, unfortunately you will not be able to restore it.
Here’s a quick guide on how to restore a wallet and start using Eidoo:
1) Download and install the Eidoo app for your Android or Apple device
2) Open the app and tap on “click here to restore your wallet” (1) and read the Terms of Service (2)
3) Enter your backup phrase and create a new password that will be used to unlock the wallet and tap on “Next” (3)
✅Done! You regained access to your wallet and to your cryptos.
⚠️Warning⚠️
In case of importing an empty Eidoo Legacy wallet (with 0 ETH balance), errors may occur. Make sure you have any amount of ETH in your wallet before proceeding with the restore, otherwise follow this other tutorial.
