One of the main features implemented with the v2 of Eidoo is the possibility to top up the card using the BNB Smart Chain. Using the BSC results in a massive cut in fees paid by users when performing this operation, as the gas fees required are only a fraction of the ones on Ethereum.
The following is a guide on how to top-up your card via BSC.
Before starting, be aware that - in order to complete the top up - you need to have a fraction of BNB on BSC (BEP20) to pay for the transfer fees to the chain validators. Click here to learn how to deposit BNB BEP20 on Eidoo.
Have your fractions of BNB deposited? Let’s proceed with the top up.
- First of all, access the card page of the app by scrolling right from the homepage.
- Tap on the “+” button.
- Choose USDC on BSC.
- Select the amount and continue.
- As you can see above, a fee of 0.8% will be deducted*
✅ Approve the transaction and wait for your funds to reach the wallet dedicated to your card.
Note that for your very first top up, you cannot use USDC on BSC, but only ETH, DAI or USDC on the Ethereum blockchain so to activate the Loopring wallet dedicated to the card (more information here).
*The 0.8% fee is deducted to strictly cover the costs that Eidoo Finance incurs by bridging the assets from BSC to Loopring, as the operation cannot be performed natively. Eidoo Finance is not profiting from this fee.
You can always top-up your card starting from the Ethereum blockchain without paying any extra fee.
